Community Guidelines

Last updated: March 8, 2026

Postdate is built on the idea that meaningful connections take time and thoughtfulness. These guidelines help keep our community safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone.

Be Authentic

  • Use your real name and recent photos that accurately represent you
  • Be honest in your profile and letters
  • Do not impersonate another person or create fake profiles
  • Complete identity verification when prompted to help keep the community safe

Be Respectful

  • Treat every member with kindness and dignity
  • Respect boundaries — if someone is not interested, accept it gracefully
  • Do not use hateful, discriminatory, or offensive language
  • Be considerate of different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives

Keep It Safe

  • Do not share personal contact information (address, financial info) in early letters
  • Never threaten, harass, stalk, or intimidate another user
  • Do not send sexually explicit or inappropriate content
  • Report any behavior that makes you feel unsafe

Content Standards

The following content is not allowed on Postdate:

  • Nudity or sexually explicit material
  • Violence or graphic content
  • Hate speech or content promoting discrimination
  • Spam, scams, or commercial solicitation
  • Content promoting illegal activities
  • Photos of minors (unless in a group photo where you are clearly the primary subject)

Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately. You can report a user directly from their profile or letter.

Violations may result in:

  • A warning
  • Temporary suspension of your account
  • Permanent removal from the platform

We review all reports and take appropriate action. Severe violations (threats, harassment, illegal activity) may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
